Lake Baikal ice cleaning campaign

A spring campaign, devoted to cleaning of Lake Baikal ice was finished on 12 April 2014 with the support of The Project. This event was timed to traditional "Baikal fishery 2014". 57 volunteers participated in this campaign. Summarizing the results of the event, 25 garbage bags were filled. Volunteers talked about methods of waste management, on separate collection and recycling of waste, explained the importance of separate collection of garbage on lake Baikal. The issues of environmental behavior, fire safety were raised. The principles of sports fishing - "catch - release" were promoted.
